We are looking for people with passion for history or nature that want to learn more about Tooele’s past, gain new skills, or keep practicing current skills. Volunteer positions are seasonal and year round. If you would like, fill out the Volunteer Application and bring it to the museum or email it to tooelevalleymuseum@tooelecity.gov.

We have the following positions available:

Historic Park Caretaker
Help the museum maintain a clean, beautiful park and protect the historic artifacts and buildings. Clean up outdoor artifacts, including painting and assisting with various gardening tasks. 

Education Programs & Events Specialist
Design and execute educational programs at the museum. 

Content or Curatorial Specialist
Assist with maintaining the collection and developing exhibits by researching artifacts, developing artifact assessments, and creating archival inventories. 
Gallery Assistant
Greet visitors, monitor their interaction with artifacts, and help with small indoor tasks.

Docent
Give tours that guide visitors through their museum experience by providing interpretation and answering questions.
